Windows Virtual PC will be used to do the above task. Steps are given as under;

Download Windows XP Mode

Step1: Do I need Windows XP Mode?

Windows 7 has several built-in tools to help with application compatibility and Windows XP applications should be installed directly on Windows 7. Windows XP Mode runs some older productivity applications that may not run otherwise on Windows 7.

Step2: Can my PC run Windows XP Mode?

Tools are available to Check that your PC hardware works with Windows XP Mode. This tool can be downloaded by using the under given URL;

Step3: Windows 7 Edition and Language Option to Download the Tool

1. Windows XP Mode

2. Windows Virtual PC

Note: Windows XP Mode is a 500 Mb file and may take several minutes to download and the URLs are only for Windows 7 Ultimate and English Language.

Once you have installed Windows XP Mode, you need to configure it to use windows xp mode in windows 7. Steps are given as under;

1. click the Windows 7 Start button

2. select All Programs > Windows Virtual PC > Windows XP Mode to begin setup.
